We may then apply for $600 from ASI. Money goes towards event. You show what the money goes towards, and get approval.

– Silent auction- people bid on goods as well as services so people get money and offer services. Email resume to Dr. Hernandez and let him know what you are interested in doing, or how you may offer your services. (Coffee, rotary items, wine, etc.) You name it!

SHRM: First club meeting a success!

The SHRM club had it’s first club meeting of the Fall Semester on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Twenty seven students were in attendance as Danielle Fletcher talked about recent accomplishment and future activities. There were many new students in attendance with many of them wanting to be new officers.

The MGT 4620 class “Seminar in Labor Relations” is literally bursting at the seams. This underlies the critical importance of offering more HR classes at CSU Stanislaus. The number of HR classes falls short of the need as HR is one of the largest majors on campus.

SHRM club see’s “Miss Saigon”

The SHRM club had another theatre trip to see Miss Saigon in Sacramento. In attendance were Danielle Fletcher, Crystal Gutierrez, Emily Wynn, Nahren Youkhana, Dianna Romo, Sarah Lamas and Dr. Ed Hernandez.

The SHRM club is preparing for our annual WBM International Research Conference. This event invites professors from throughout the world to present their research on HR issues. We publish two journals associated with the conference. This year we will have many students in attendance to help run the event.
